I chose Cecelia Mecca s The Ward s Bride to read today and am so happy I did It s a novella the first book of her Border series Someone posted looking for novellas recently try this one Our hero Adam is awarded a lordship a castle and an unwilling wife Cora wants nothing to do with the English and is determined to find a way back home. Book The Wards bride by john Adam is wonderful I loved him as a hero He s sweet to his new bride he s loyal caring he s possessive he s understanding Just perfect Cora was a tad frustrating due to her refusal to accept her new position but she does come around I haven t read many novellas short stories They usually feel unfinished to me or it s hard to get the tension across or I feel like the sex happens too fast I didn t get any of that here it was wonderful It has tension and the story works beautifully for a quick read I m definitely planning to try from this series The Wards Bride Border 0. Ebooks The Wards bride and groom 5 This is the first book I have read by this author and I was pleasantly surprised It has all the elements of a good historical romance with a stubborn heroine and sexy strong minded hero Even though Lady Cora was bartered in exchange for peace between warring nations she has a mind of her own and her loyalties remain with Scotland and her family She finds that the husband she meets at the altar is a surprise but is unable to change her mindset to accept the marriage Adam is an honourable man and goes the extra mile in wooing his wife trying to win her over by charm rather than force However he is equally loyal to those he loves and they reach a stalemate A charming romance that tugged at my heartstrings and I willefinitely be watching out for this author in the future I received a gift copy of this book and this is my honest and voluntary review The Wards Bride Border 0. Book The Wards bridesmaid Cora is a great match for Adam the handsome knight She doesn t sit back and take things she is feisty She slowly falls for Adam and vice versa But the one thing she really wants is to go back home Can Adam convince her to stay and see what can happen with them or will she leave The authorid an excellent job with this story I was turning the pages and soaking up everything I could The characters are fun to to see what happens and the side characters are just as funny and caring Fast paced romance what could a girl want The Wards Bride Border 0. Ebooks The Wards bride and groom 5 The Ward s Bride is a very interesting prequel to an exciting new historical series In this short story lords of England and Scotland attempt to find peace in the borderlands between Scotland and England after years of conflict To seal the deal the Scottish lord pledges his eldest daughter in marriage to the adopted son of the English earl While arranged political marriages were common amongst the nobles in those times Cora did not want to suffer a loveless marriage to someone from a different country and culture who was a sworn enemy not too long again I felt for Cora s frustration since women were so powerless in those days caught between the control of their fathers and husbands Their only other choice was to enter a convent. Kindle The Wards bride killed The Ward s Bride does a good job of portraying the history and relationships of the times Bitterness and tension build as Cora feels homesick and trapped in a loveless marriage like her mother s marriage But she is far from meek and helpless Despite her feelings and desire to go home in shame love and sexual tensionevelop between Adam and Cora and the book has some steamy bedroom scenes You will not know the outcome until the very end I cannot wait to read the next stand alone books in this new series and continue with some of the characters introduced in this prequel I volunteered to read this book and this is my honest review The Wards Bride Border 0. The Wards Bride epub free 5 I liked this short read Adam and Cora from the beginning intrigued me with the love match The writer maintained the story around the marriage match of Adam and Cora I liked that the writer didn t write Cora as a crying simpleton I was happy to read that Cora could match intelligence and strength with any man Adam was very mesmerized by his wife I liked that the writer wrote Adam s characteretermined to seduce his wife This is a quick read with some spices scenes from the married couple The Wards Bride Border 0. The Wards bridezilla meaning 5 I really liked this story It is a novella but didn t appear too short It is well written Cora and Adam are both like able characters you can understand how both feel in this unexpected situation He is Alpha but also considerate and she appears timid and shy but is a hellion Some parts really made me laugh. The Wards Bride Historical fiction book 5 The setting was 1245 Scotland The story felt average This story featured Sir Adam English Lady Cora Scottish who wed She put her energy into the Hsetting her aside IE by having the cook prepare her nativeishes actually substandard meals besting him in use of the longbow etc The H fostered with Sir Richard s father and these two men close in age were like close brothers Lady Cora came across as a selfish single minded woman Sir Richard had the best line to the hero go win that stubborn lass to your side The Wards Bride Border 0.
